Puma asked:
It has been said that the honey bee population has decreased alot over the past few years. I have read an article which said that some type of virus may be the reason. Couldn’t this play a big role in our environment? Could this be part of the reason why allergies our on the increase among Americans? I’m just not sure exactly how it could affect the pollen counts. Honey bees are seldom seen anymore. And now its dealing with pests such as Yellow Jackets and wasps. Since the population of these two insects is soaring in our area! I would much rather have the honey bees!

“Kh a a a a a n n” ! ! asked:
I think that some parts of the world will really improve the way they impact the environment, but others will not. And with increasing population, increasing number of cars, and expanding industry, things could just get worse.
So what do you think our environment will be like in 50 years?

Ç???i??iØ?åì®? asked: I’m writing a paper for school, and now that I’m almost done, I can’t think of what a desert tortoise contributes to the environment. They really don’t do anything. Not that I can think of. Anyone have any ideas what they might do for the environment, or people?
Thanks for all the help!

laboratory.mike asked: I have seen quite a number of people asking questions about what they can do about the environment, making statements, etc.
At this time, I’d like to ask a different question: How do you educate yourself on the issues regarding the environment? Do you read websites? Do you read magazines devoted to the subject? Are you getting your notes from an organization you have joined?
Also, do you read from industrial or scientific journals about this topic? I’d find it interesting to see where people get their information, becuase, as they say, knowledge is power.
For those wondering, I am interested in seeing what others do to get their info; the the above details, I was throwing out a few possibilities of what I suppose others do.
