This Edmonton area aircraft hangar is actually designed as three integrated buildings. At each end, there is a single bay hangar designed to accomodate up to a 50 ft. wingspan aircraft. In the middle portion there are 8 smaller hangars, each designed to accomodate up to a 40 ft wingspan aircraft. All doors are horizontal Bi-Fold doors, and the South facing roof slope is designed to accomodate Solar Electric panels. The roof lines of the centre building projects onto the roofs of each end hangar, allowing for excellent roof drainage, and more attractive building lines. This is both economical, and a much more attractive building than a conventional Box hangar.
